The Bachelor’s programme
The Public Administration Bachelor’s programme will remain in Leiden for the time being. This means that for BA students nothing will change.
The Master’s programme
The Master’s programme Public Administration will be moved to The Hague as of 1 February 2012. From that moment all lectures and seminars will take place in The Hague.
The Research Master’s programme
Like the Bachelor’s programme, the Research Master’s programme Institutional Change and Reform will remain in Leiden.
Opportunities
Moving the Institute of Public Administration and its Master’s programme to the Hague Campus creates many new opportunities. Students and researchers will be closer to their object of study. Taking courses and doing research in the political and administrative heart of The Hague will enhance our degree programmes and scientific research. Moreover, for students it will mean a wider range of possible traineeships and job prospects, and a closer connection with the field of action.
Task Force
A special Task Force will be responsible for a careful and thorough preparation of the planned move. The Institute of Public Administration guarantees optimum facilities for students, and will do everything possible to ensure a smooth relocation process. When necessary, facilities such as library and similar services will also move to The Hague, and when necessary will also remain available in Leiden.
Meetings for students
We can imagine that our Institute of Public Administration’s relocation plans raise some questions with you. We will be happy to answer these as carefully and completely as we can during two special meetings for students.
For BA students: Tuesday 22 February, 2-3 pm, room SA49
For MA students and Pre-Masterstudents: Wednesday 23 February, 12–1 pm, room SA49
There will be a follow-up meeting in May, when the Task Force will have finalized the relocation plans.
