2 April 2012: Second Annual Jean Monnet Conference

The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence organizes the second annual Jean Monnet Conference; 'The Crisis as Critical Moment: Political Leadership, Institutional Change and the Creation of New Rules'.

This conference aims to present new research of researchers from the region Leiden – The Hague, focusing on the response measures and solutions for the current European Crisis. We seek papers on a very wide range of topics pertaining to the (new) challenges the EU is facing and the responses the Union and its member states are devising to these challenges. Based on the responses, papers will be allocated to one of several panels. The conference is also open to attendants and takes place on the second of April at the Campus the Hague (location Stichthage)

At the conference, researchers will present their papers and research in one of the provisional panels. The subject of the panel is open to suggestions, based on the responses.

16:15 Presentation by Indermit Gill PhD (Economist of the Europe and Central Asia Region of the World Bank)  on the World Bank Report "Golden Growth : Restoring the Luster of the European Economic Model"
