Leiden University works together with three partners; Clingendael, the Hague University of Applied Sciences and the Montesquieu Institute in this Centre of Excellence.
Clingendael
One of the partners of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence is the Netherlands Institute of International Relations Clingendael. Clingendael is a knowledge institute for international relations. In a constantly changing global environment, Clingendael acts as a think-tank as well as a diplomatic academy in order to identify and analyze emerging political and social developments for the benefit of government and the general public.

the Hague University of Applied Sciences
One of the partners of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence is the Hague University of Applied Sciences, an institution with 20.000 students from over 135 countries. The University prepares their students to become higher-trained professionals, with education, applied research, public lectures and professional partnerships all over the world.

Montesquieu Institute
The Montesquieu Institute (MI) for the study of comparative European parliamentary history and constitutional development was launched in the summer of 2007. The Institute is a multifunctional centre for comparative studies, education, dialogue and debate. It supports those involved in fostering and strengthening democracy. It aims at serving students and specific target groups such as parliamentarians and other politicians, civil servants, educators, journalists and those employed by interest groups.
