Graduation Masters in Psychology

Almost finished with your master’s programme? Submit the application form at least two weeks in advance of the anticipated graduation date, because of possible restitution of tuition fees. Please, check the schedule of the graduation dates and the diploma ceremonies.


Master's course registration

All Master's students enrol for the courses on the Master's introduction and course enrolment day. At this day the attendance of first year master's students in Psychology is required for a succesful start of their master's programme. Please check the Master's agenda.


Electives in profile Brain and Cognition (research)

Students in the 2-year MSc Psychology (research) programme may further expand their expertise in the domain of brain and cognition by choosing from a wide range of relevant courses offered in other master’s programmes at Leiden University, outside the Institute of Psychology.


Internship: Accreditation Dutch MSc in Psychology

A research or professional/ clinical internship is part of the specialisations of the master's programme MSc in Psychology. In the internship you learn to apply your knowledge, understanding and problem-solving abilities in an organisation. It is also a useful preparation for your future career. You will find out about everyday working life as a psychologist.


Master's Programme Committee (MOC)

The Master's Programme Committee acts as advisor to the Programme Board. In other to ensure a broad basis for advice, the Committee includes 9 students, in addition to one lecturer for each specialisation.


Research Master’s Programme Committee (R-MOC)

The Research Master’s Programme Committee acts as advisor to the Programme Board. In other to ensure a broad basis for advice, the Committee includes 5 students, in addition to one lecturer for each research master track.


Thesis

To complete the master’s programme, students have to write an empirical thesis on a subject related to their field of study.
