Sabine received her Master's degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences in 2010 from the University of Amsterdam.
During her two internships she investigated the neural basis of insomnia (Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience) and hippocampal volume in depression (King's College London). She also worked as an MRI-assistant in the UvA Cognitive Neuroscience group.

In her PhD project, supervised by Eveline Crone and Cédric Koolschijn, Sabine will investigate cognitive and neural development in children and adolescents. In this longitudinal project, she will focus on cognitive control and how this relates to changes in brain function and structure.
