Theresa Reinold joined the Institute of Political Science as an assistant professor of International Relations in 2014. Prior to coming to Leiden she held positions at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), Goethe Universitaet Frankfurt, and the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB).
She received her PhD from Tuebingen University and has been a visiting scholar at Yale, Harvard, and NYU. Her research focuses on, broadly speaking, the political dynamics underlying the evolution of international law, including in the fields of international criminal justice, human rights (the responsibility to protect), counter-terrorism, and African regional integration.
