Quick overview of the cooperation of the Leiden institutes with Research Institutes and Research Schools. Research schools are interuniversity partnerships, providing educational programmes for PhD candidates.
The Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology develops its interests in visual anthropology and ethnography and material culture studies, and maintains research relationships with:
- the Institute of Environmental Sciences (CML),
- the African Studies Centre, a national research institute hosted by the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, and
- the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS).
The Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CSTS) is affiliated with the Netherlands Graduate Research School of Science, Technology and Modern Culture (WTMC).
The PhD programme is part of the Rommert Casimir Institute of Developmental Psychopathology from a Cultural and Educational Perspective. The Institute of Education and Child Studies is a member of the Institute for the Study of Education and Human Development (ISED).
The Institute of Political Science is a member of the Netherlands Institute of Government (NIG) and participates in its research programmes.
