Monique Boekaerts KNAW member

Prof.  Monique Boekaerts (Educational Sciences) has been appointed a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen, KNAW).      

Main functions of the Academy

• Advising the government on matters related to scientific research
• Providing a forum for the scientific world and promoting international scientific cooperation
• Assessing the quality of scientific research  
• Acting as an umbrella organisation for the nineteen institutes primarily engaged in basic and strategic scientific research and disseminating information
